Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate

The Congregation of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate

The Congregation of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate of the American Province was founded on October 7, 1878 (Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary) in Poland by Blessed Honorat Kozminski, a Polish Franciscan Capuchin. The American Province has undertaken various apostolic works serving God and neighbor in a spirit of Franciscan joy since 1935.

The image depicts our spirituality and apostolic life. The icon of the hands represent our apostolic service of people. The sisters try to imitate Christ and his Mother, especially in the mystery of their simple, hidden life in Nazareth. St. Francis of Assisi is our model for imitating the human life of Jesus. Just as St. Francis did, Sisters Servants want to love the Cross, to do penance, and to joyfully discover God in all of his creation.
